Maintenance Packages for VisiTrac/RTM Version 8.0

The following packages are available to address issues with Version 8.0 of VisiTrac Real Time Monitor (RTM). With each package is a description of the issue(s) and component(s) addressed. Initiate the download by clicking on the Package Name.

This maintenance package addresses the following issues and/or updates:

• General Maintenance for the VisiTrac/Basic Desktop code in support of RTM.
• Correct possible Abends during midnight turn-over processing that creates new database generation
• Place proper IP address on RTMSTC "new connection" log message
• Correct high CPU consumption that occurs just after a socket disconnects
• Support for non-SMS managed database GDGs
• Support new GDG generation allocation retry when initial size allocation fails
• Handle STC abend when database GDG generation scratches when RETAIN > GDG Limit
• Prevent 0D6 abend in SMF exit (VTCU84) after RTMSTC shuts down
• Redrive ACCEPTs of future connections after a previous Accept call fails
• Fix possible ENQ problems during database generation switches
• Reduce IP Traffic by half during desktop RTM Initialization and Synchronization
• Fix to mainframe datastream in about task activity that caused some desktop users to report different job status data from other users.
• Avoid MVS 042-006 Error due to mismatch on RETAIN and GDG Generation counts
• Update to desktop Process Synchronization code inoked during RTM Activation
• Resolve various issues with desktop display and menu entries during RTM mode of viewing
• Address RunTime error 438 posted when shutting down RTM on the desktop

The download package is a self-extracting zip archive. It contains a README file with detailed instructions on installation. To access the README file:

1. Download the Maintenance Package by clicking Package 3 above or below.
2. Execute the download RTM-V800-MP3.EXE file which will:
   
   a. Add a Windows folder as "C:\RTMV800MP3"
   b. Extract the files to this new folder
   c. Call NotePad to display the contents of the ReadMe file enclosed which provides additional information on installation.
   
   
3. Review the README file for detail installation instructions.
