Download Maintenance Package 1

This maintenance package addresses the following issues and/or updates:

  • The OPC/TWS schedule report scanner may miss inter-schedule job links resulting in incomplete flowcharts and critical paths in reports and the flowchart. This maintenance package provides a new OPC object deck for MVS. Only users loading OPC/TWS schedules are affected.
  • Addresses an OC7 Abend in the REPORTS job (module REPORTI) while producing the mainframe copy of the Top20 report. The abend occurs after the REPORTS job has completed printing the textual Critical Path reports for all Processes to SYSPRINT. Typically you'll see some portion of the TOP20 report (similar to a TIMEPLOT) also appearing on SYSPRINT.

The download package is a self-extracting zip archive. It contains a README file with detailed instructions on installation. To access the README file:

Download Maintenance Package 2

This maintenance package addresses the following issues and/or updates:

  • The REPORTS job may loop after producing the one-page summary report on SYSPRINT.
  • Invoking the Process History chart may cause VisiTrac to abend with a subscript error when no ENDBY value was provided in the REPORTS parameters for this process.
  • The Process Status bar may show an incorrect "Target Status" in some combinations of process history data and EndBy settings.
  • The Copying of Process History status for processes without ENDBY= times specified may fail.
  • The Copying of Task Detail entries for non-executing tasks may fail.
  • The desktop component of VisiTrac 7.0 may abend at startup on some NT 4 desktops due to private/public folder access error. Symptom is an "Access Denied" error at startup and can be verified by determining if you have access to your copy of the file VISITRAC.INI. This update moves local user data from the VISITRAC.INI file to the Windows Registry. A new "User Settings" interface has been added to the FILE menu to view and modify these user settings after this update is applied.

After each user starts the updated VisiTrac desktop component their local settings (such as the MINDELAY value and the list of recently opened files) will no longer reside in the VisiTrac.INI file. Instead, it will be kept in the user's Windows Registry. To change these values the user must use the FILE>User Settings interface within VisiTrac. Updating the VisiTrac.INI file content will no longer work after maintenance package 2 has been applied.
