Maintenance Packages for VisiTrac Version 7.1

The following packages are available to address issues with Version 7.1 of VisiTrac. With each package is a description of the issue(s) and component(s) addressed. Initiate the download by clicking on the Package Name.

This maintenance package addresses the following issues and/or updates:

• Improves the handling of Not-During dependency types in the schedule to avoid excessive linkage of non-related tasks in the flowchart. It also addresses "stranded" boxes that can occur in the flowchart view due to processing of "not during" link pruning.
• Corrects the desktop automatic flowchart layout process to avoid "stacked" task boxes.
• Adds an optional flat-file dump of the Critical Path reports into an MVS file which allows for post-REPORTS job processing of the Critical Path report output, outside of VisiTrac.
• Adds new and enhanced mouse "hover-over" summary boxes when the mouse hovers over either a task box or an inter-task linking arrow.
• Adds support to the CONTROL-M schedule loader to handle differences between CONTROL-M Versions 5 and 6.

The download package is a self-extracting zip archive. It contains a README file with detailed instructions on installation. To access the README file:

1. Download the Maintenance Package by clicking Package 1 above or below.
2. Execute the download VisiTrac-V710-MP1.EXE file which will:
   
   a. Add a Windows folder as "C:\VisiTracV710MP1"
   b. Extract the files to this new folder
   c. Call NotePad to display the contents of the ReadMe file enclosed which provides additional information on installation.
   
   
3. Review the README file for detail installation instructions.

This maintenance package includes all updates in MP1 as well as new changes. The following is a composite list of changes included:

• Improves the handling of Not-During dependency types in the schedule to avoid excessive linkage of non-related tasks in the flowchart. It also addresses "stranded" boxes that can occur in the flowchart view due to processing of "not during" link pruning.
• Corrects the desktop automatic flowchart layout process to avoid "stacked" task boxes.

• Addresses an OC9 Abend that can occur when very large end dates, due to over simplified process parameters, are encountered in REPORTC.
• Addresses an OC4 Abend that infrequently occurs during file close processing in REPORTS.
• Add support to LOADSMF and FASTSMF to handle loading SMF data from multiple systems where some system clocks are purposely set out-of-synch with other systems in the same complex.
• Address an OC1 Abend that can occur in ATRIEXCP.
• Address errors in CALENDAR parameter loading where multiple years are coded under the same calendar name. In some cases not all dates are correctly captured.
• Update the REORG program to utilize the RETAIN value to remove all task history records older than the newest history date minus the current RETAIN value saved in the database. The previous version of REORG did not actively delete history at all.

This maintenance package includes all updates in MP2 as well as new changes. The following is a composite list of changes included:

• Allows comments (starting with "*") and blank lines on the input data files to LOADTASK and LOADSCHD generic loaders.
• Corrects VB Runtime error '94' when accessing the desktop Process Performance History chart
• Corrects the status displayed on the Process Information window when no ENDBY value is provided
• Adds Spanish support to the Desktop National Language support
• Adjusts how the critical path is calculated when non-task predecessors are encountered to avoid "deadend" nontask selections when better, executing predecessors are available.
• Deselects any selected, redundant link when the user makes redundant links invisible.
