Maintenance Packages for VisiTrac Version 8.0

The following packages are available to address issues with Version 8.0 of VisiTrac. With each package is a description of the issue(s) and component(s) addressed. Initiate the download by clicking on the Package Name.

MVS Modules Assembly Date: 04/29/08 ( 29 April 2008 )

Maintenance Package became available on 29 April 2008. This maintenance package addresses the following issues and/or updates:

• All maintenance described above in MP1, MP2, MP3, MP4, and MP5
• Desktop level is 8.0.38
• Support for RTM V900 and the VisiTrac/RTM Alert subsystem
• Retain key NONTASKs in a flowchart when they are also named as START=/END= jobs even if NONTASK=HIDE is set
• Reduce size of schedule structure built from CONTROLM schedules when the jobnames are not changed by JCLLIB entries
• Improve STALL detection on the desktop

The download package is a self-extracting zip archive. It contains a README file with detailed instructions on installation. To access the README file:

1. Download the Maintenance Package by clicking Package 6 above or below.
2. Execute the download VisiTrac-V800-MP6.EXE file which will:
   
   a. Add a Windows folder as "C:\VisiTracV800MP6"
   b. Extract the files to this new folder
   c. Call NotePad to display the contents of the ReadMe file enclosed which provides additional information on installation.

Maintenance Package became available on 1 April 2008. This maintenance package addresses the following issues and/or updates:

• All maintenance described above in MP1, MP2, MP3, and MP4
• Desktop level is 8.0.37
• Adjust printing to correctly print to wide-page output devices
• Fix TaskList line selection errors seen under RTM mode
• Fix RunTime Error 438 when stopping RTM mode from a non-process list display
• Fix error in scrapping OPC schedule data to correct for column changes
• Adjust the %Done digits and progress line to correct percentage calculation and share the progress bar between the base color and the color gray when the process is marked stalled
• Change "stall" classification logic to wait until the normal inter-job time gap expires before posting a task as "stalled." This tends to delay when (or if) a stall is posted.
• Fix errors sometimes seen in synchronizing processes with the processing nodes during RTM activation
• Apply various enhancements to flowchart model updates when activating RTM and adding/removing jobs and links for a more typical flowchart view of the process

Maintenance package 4 became available on 5 February 2008. This maintenance package addresses the following issues and/or updates:

• All maintenance described above in MP1, MP2, and MP3
• Be certain non-linked Start jobs are included in the flowchart even when not directly linked to any end jobs.
• Improvements to RTM process listings, Initialization and Synchronizing and job stall detection and management.
• Reduce the IP traffic to accomplish synchronization and improve "running/not-running" status of processes during RTM Initialization
• Fixes an invalid (and often very large) inter-job lag time in an RTM flowchart when all predecessors on the flowchart are NonTasks
• Fixes to invalid End Date/Time saved when a process ends execution under RTM monitoring
• Change flowchart job and link definitions for the "next run" view of a process while entering RTM mode
• Desktop level now: 8.0.28
• Fixes for a PC CPU loop condition when activating RTM on very large groups of processes (does not effect STC operation)
• Change to VisiTrac Auto-Install feature to install on "current user" and not require Windows Administrator level access
• Reduce number of desktop RTMInit() errors during RTM Activation that will cause RTM to abort (does not effect STC operation!)
• Address inconsistent job status posting between different PCs monitoring the same process(es)

This maintenance package addresses the following issues and/or updates:

• All maintenance described above in MP1 and MP2
• Updates to the REPORTS job to address a rare loop condition
• Improvement to logic that separates out past cycle periods where key jobs experience restarts
• Updates to support CONTROLM schedule processing by REPORTS and LOADSCHD jobs
• Desktop level now: 8.0.18
• Fixes for a PC CPU loop condition when activating RTM on very large groups of processes (does not effect STC operation)
• Change to VisiTrac Auto-Install feature to install on "current user" and not require Windows Administrator level access
• Reduce number of desktop RTMInit() errors during RTM Activation that will cause RTM to abort (does not effect STC operation!)

This maintenance package addresses the following issues and/or updates:

• All maintenance described above in MP1
• Update to process historical cycle execution selection. This update may alter the dates you see in the historical view of past process executions. But most users are likely to see no difference with your current maintenance level.
• Some minor updates to the VisiTrac desktop software for support of VisiTrac/RTM
• Enhancement to add "About VisiTrac" maintenance level to the desktop Help display.
  Maintenance Package 2 level is 8.0.12.

This maintenance package addresses the following issues and/or updates:

• General Maintenance for the VisiTrac/Basic V800 Mainframe REPORTS routines.
• Addresses Abend 0C7 in REPORTI while producing the mainframe "TOP20" report segment.
• Addresses inconsistent handling of data loads when loading the same SMF data more than once.
• A collection of updates to the desktop component supporting both VisiTrac/Basic and /RTM.
• Enhancement to add "About VisiTrac" maintenance level to the desktop Help display.
  Maintenance Package 1 level is 8.0.9.
• Limits to User Setting RTM Interval setting between 1 and 30 seconds for RTM component support.
