Maintenance Packages for VisiTrac/Basic Version 8.1

The following packages are available to address issues with Version 8.1 of VisiTrac/Basic. With each package is a description of the issue(s) and component(s) addressed. Initiate the download by clicking on the Package Name.

This maintenance package addresses the following issues and/or updates:

• REPORTA component of MVS REPORTS job may loop due to invalid END= job selection
• Previous process cycles may be missing from history
• The desktop may become non-responsive due to random bursts of high-volume network traffic
• Failure to Undo a job's time value changes during a modeling session on the desktop
• General Maintenance for the VisiTrac/Basic V810 Mainframe REPORTS routines.
• Restrict tasks as either real tasks or NonTasks in any one instance of a process.
• Address a trucation of the Critical Path report on the mainframe
• Alter how "DONE" processes are handled on the desktop during RTM monitoring
• Add "/r" flag to the VisiTrac.EXE Command Line to support automatic RTM startup
• Change async desktop message to non-disruptive handling to avoid a desktop stall
• Address high CPU loop at end of REPORTS job that sometimes occurs
• Address desktop database interface abend that can happen with download files that are larger than 255MB
• Resolve loop in MVS REPORTS job when a NonTask (non-executing schedule event) is coded as a START= job
• Correct error posting the correct process end time on the desktop during "done" processing
• Correct errors in creating the RTM-active model for monitoring. Key symptom is disconnected job boxes on flowchart.
• Correctly initialize database files for use in the partitioned database provided in V810. Symptom can be an abend in LOADTASK job.
• Improve RTM Initialization speed when activating a process with a large number of NonTasks

1. Download the Maintenance Package by clicking Package 4 above or below.
2. Execute the download VisiTrac-V810-MP4.EXE file which will:
   
   a. Add a Windows folder as "C:\VisiTracV810MP4"
   b. Extract the files to this new folder
   c. Call NotePad to display the contents of the ReadMe file enclosed which provides additional information on installation.
   
   
3. Review the README file for detail installation instructions.
